Although the collection is on university premises, the American Library is independent and functions like a public library-- it is open to everyone. Children, teenagers, students and adults are all welcome. Browsing, reading, and even research is possible on site. The staff is here to help and answer questions.

Children have a room of their own where they can talk and be read to.

The reading area is spacious, very quiet and can be used by anyone.
